Amazing! Dortmund striker Aubameyang sets new Bundesliga record (Stat)

He arrived at Borussia Dortmund famed for his blistering speed, but Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang has evolved into a much more rounded striker in the years since.

His development into a top level forward was emphatically confirmed during Dortmund’s 2-2 draw with Darmstadt today, a match in which Aubameyang scored a brace.

The Gabonese attacker broke a Bundesliga record with his first goal, becoming the first player in the league’s history to score in the opening seven games of the season.

This was one week after becoming the first to do it in the opening six games, of course.
That doesn’t tell how impressive Aubameyang’s achievements have been.

He’s scored nine goals in those seven games and ended last season in fine form, meaning he’s currently on a scoring streak of nine successive Bundesliga games.

Aubameyang has also scored four goals in cup competitions this season, meaning he’s bagged 13 before October. Compare this to his first season in Germany when he scored 16 in 48 appearances. The player is now one of the very best strikers in the world.
