Done deal: Tottenham sign South Korean forward Son Heung-min from Leverkusen


Tottenham have completed the signing of South Korean forward Son Heung-min from German club Bayer Leverkusen.

The deal, subject to a work permit and international clearance, is reportedly worth £22m,  and he has signed a contract until 2020.

Son made 78 apps & scored 20 times for Hamburg before joining Leverkusen in June 2013, where he  made a total of 87 appearances & scored 29 times during his time at Bayer Leverkusen.

“I’m a player who really loves football. I learned the game under my father who was a football coach in my school”, said Son.

“I’m looking forward to going there & performing for the Spurs fans as soon as possible.The support I get from the fans motivates me more and more.” 

The South Korean forward will wear the number 7 jersey at Spurs.
