Benzema to Arsenal? Posts instagram picture on a private plane, references the past as his Real Madrid teammates head to Shanghai without him

Arsenal fans are on their toes and really hopeful Benzema's instagram is referring to him moving to the Emirates.

There have been transfer specualtions about Karim Benzema leaving Real Madrid for Arsena, but it is unlikely the Spanish champions will sell their French striker.

Weirdly, it seems Arsenal have managed to lure the French international to England.

The Real Madrid first team squad today flew to Shanghai (see below), but Benzema wasn’t part of the team.




Instead, the 27-year-old striker posted a selfie of him travelling alone to a destination unknown to the public with the message “let the past remain the past” (Instagram post above).

Arsenal fans around the world have been tweeting about this new development and legend Ian Wright has also joined in the anticipation for Benzema's announcement:
