Liverpool set to sign Nathaniel Clyne
Southampton and England right back, Nathaniel Clyne is set to join Liverpool today according to reports in the English media.
According to sky sources, the transfer will be worth an initial £12.5m up-front to the Saints with additional payments, based on certain conditions that would eventually be met by the player, to add up to a total of £15m.
Liverpool and Southampton continue their business from where they stopped last season when the Anfield based team signed three players from Southampton last summer; Rickie Lambert, Adam Lallana and Dejan Lovren and are bringing in Clyne to replace Glen Johnson, whose contract has expired.
In this current transfer window, Liverpool have already signed five players; Danny Ings, midfielder James Milner and goalkeeper Adam Bogdan on free transfers as well as young Brazilian attacker Roberto Firmino from Hoffenheim for £21.3m and defender Joe Gomez, for £3.5m, from Charlton.
