Arsenal's Aaron Ramsey twisted his ankle vs Andorra, may miss the Man City match
Arsenal fans praying that their players emerged unscathed from the international break have been hit with a setback.
Wales claimed a 2-1 win over Andorra in Euro 2016 qualifying on Tuesday night, however the win came at a cost for Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey, who picked up an ankle injury.
In the final moments of the match in Andorra, Ramsey went over on his ankle, and the outlook is now gloomy over the midfielder’s participation in Arsenal’s big match against Man City in the Premier League this weekend.
Welsh manager Chris Coleman offered Arsenal fans of a sliver of hope, saying:
He got a kick and there was a twist in his ankle.
It was coming to the end of the game and it was pointless taking a risk with him. Hopefully he’ll be OK for Arsenal at the weekend but we’ll have to see what the next 24 to 48 hours hold.
