Arsenal launch a £25m bid for AC Milan striker

Arsenal have launched a whooping £25m bid to sign Italian 'bad boy' Mario Balotelli.

Reports in the Italian media suggest that the 23-year-old has been told he can leave AC as new manager Filippo Inzaghi looks to the future.

The former Manchester City striker is currently at the World Cup and scored the winning goal in their 2-1 win over England.

According to the Dailystar, Arsenal signed a mega-money kit deal with Puma last season, which has come into effect this year.
Puma also have a deal with Balotelli and it is being reported that the kit manufacturer may be willing to help finance the deal to bring the striker to the Emirates.

Arsene Wenger has been backed to spend big and spend right by club chief executive Ivan Gazidis and this could be one of many forays into the transfer market this summer.
