Liverpool sits nine points off the pace at the top after seven rounds of Premier League games, with Arsenal beating Everton on Saturday to go level on points with Manchester City.

Brighton is arguably the most feared team in the Premier League, with astonishing results and lots of goals scored so far this season by the Seagulls. It was, however, a shock that they failed to register a goal in their midweek encounter in the Europa Conference League.

A clash between Liverpool and Brighton these days should be a box office. Two managers who like to have a go at the opposition, impressive runners, and an opportunity to see goals in abundance. Should we be excited about this one?

Brighton currently sits third on the log, just five points off the top, and could close the gap to just three points with a win at Anfield. The Reds already lost at Anfield this season, albeit with ten men against Manchester City.

Brighton's only loss this season was against Chelsea, and you fancy them to earn something from that game had they gotten a few more minutes on the clock. Liverpool will know that this one is not going to be easy.

Anfield isn't the easiest ground to go to, but if you want to compete for the title, you must be winning tough games. Fabian Hurzelar wants to win this one; it explains why he rested key players in their midweek European game at Jablonec.

How will Liverpool approach this one? Their 4-3 win over Villarreal in the Champions League was draining, but they must find the legs to earn the result they desire from this one. After Chelsea slipped up at home against Spurs, Liverpool has been presented with an opportunity to usurp them on the log.

The hosts are still sweating on the fitness of Dominik Szoboszlai but will have Ryan Gravenberch back in the squad after serving his ban for the red he got against Manchester City. Alexis MacAllister will partner the Dutchman in midfield; how well will they compete?

Liverpool's defense is always fragile. Despite the brilliance of Virgil Van Dijk, you have a sense of danger anytime they're under attack. Jeremy Jacquet has settled in well, and Ronald Araujo is finding home at right back.

Diego Gomez scored a wonder goal from 60 yards out last weekend; Liverpool must be wary of the Seagulls and their tricky players. Jack Hinshelwood is back and thriving; you wonder if he will start on Sunday or not.

Yasin Ayari and Pascal Gross are two players making headlines this season. The latter has created the most chances in the Brighton squad and has been instrumental for the Seagulls this season. How can Liverpool stop them?

Who are the players that could make the real difference on Sunday? Bradley Barcola, Alexander Isak, and Victor Munoz for the hosts, and the likes of Koustulas, Maxim De Cuyper, and Diego Gomez for the Seagulls. This should be fun to watch.

Verdict: Liverpool to win.
