The final game of Saturday will see Manchester United do battle at home against Tottenham Hotspur. It's a game between two teams that must find a result or sink into despair.

Both sides have real reasons to be worried. They both spent huge money in the summer, with Spurs spending more than anyone else. One point a game for United so far, and the Spurs sitting at the foot of the log makes this a game to watch.

Where do we start from? United handed the managerial job to Michael Carrick permanently, and the excitement the fans expected has turned into despair. Familiar ghosts of poor results have haunted the Old Trafford air; now they wonder if Carrick is the right man for the job.

The only win United has so far had was in a game against a team they're expected to beat even with a second string. They can also be said to be fortunate for the goals they scored; they must get a grip now or become a laughingstock again.

Tottenham brought in every player in sight. The new players have struggled to integrate into the squad, and you can berate the manager for questionable selections too. There won't be many excuses going forward.

It's a huge surprise that Roberto De Zerbi wasn't excited during the break. Results have refused to improve, but you can say it's only five games. Back-to-back 17th-place finishes don't speak well of a club of Spurs' stature; a loss here could spell the end of the Italians' reign.

United can call on Marcus Rashford and Kobbie Mainoo, who both missed England's games during the break as they both trained during the week. Carlos Baleba could make his debut too on Saturday, having gotten minutes with the U21s.

Jean Van Hecke is available to Spurs despite picking up an injury for the Netherlands. Micky Van De Ven is another player who has been passed fit to play. Dejan Kulusevski will be in the squad at Old Trafford and could feature for the first time in roughly 18 months.

Benjamin Sesko is still unavailable; we expect Bryan Mbeumo to retain his shirt upfront. Bruno Fernandes will still be the glue for United, but can Spurs neutralize him on Saturday? Who will step up for either side to claim the spoils?

Verdict: Both teams to score.
