So here is our World Cup final prediction, and it is the hardest one we have made all tournament.
Argentina are the champions, chasing back-to-back titles that no nation has managed since Brazil in 1962.
Spain are the European champions, unbeaten, with a defence that has conceded once in the entire competition.
But one of them is holding the trophy on Sunday night at MetLife, and the other is holding a runner-up medal and a lifetime of what-ifs.
Because both of these teams arrived here doing completely different things.
Spain have strolled, controlled, patient, ruthless, a 2-0 dismantling of France in the semi that never looked in doubt.
Argentina have survived an own goal against Cape Verde, two goals down to Egypt, extra time against ten-man Switzerland, and then two goals in the last five minutes to break England's hearts.
One team is gliding.
The other is dragging itself over the line on the back of a 39-year-old. And still, nobody wants to face either.

Spain have a nearly clean bill of health.
Lamine Yamal was seen limping late in the semi but is fine. Pedro Porro has a minor muscular issue but is expected to be fit.
