By the time Manchester City kicks off in this fixture, the Gunners will have concluded their affairs against Everton at the Emirates.

The result of the game at the Emirates could have a huge bearing on this one. Should Arsenal drop points against the Toffees, Manchester City would have extra motivation to go harder against the Hammers.

Even an Arsenal win is another motivation for City to keep going strong. There are seven points between the two top sides in the Premier League, with the Cityzens playing one less game. It is still a possibility for both sides.

West Ham knows that only a win will do them any good in their battle against relegation. The Hammers enjoyed FA Cup success on Monday as they advanced to play against Leeds in the last 8; their focus is now fully on Manchester City.

On paper, this should be a piece of cake for the visitors. Things are no longer the same, and teams no longer hold so much respect for Pep Guardiola's side. It will be keenly contested late on Saturday.

Manchester City also has a conundrum in front of them. Do they want to keep an eye on the Real Madrid game on Tuesday night? The Citizens were hammered 3-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu; do they think they can overturn that?

There's a small matter of the League Cup final against Arsenal next weekend. They're the favorites to win the FA Cup, but Pep Guardiola must give everything to the league title; that means it will be a tough night for the Hammers.

Crysencio Summerville has been a revelation this season for the Hammers. The Dutchman has been in impressive form, and alongside Jarrod Bowen, he is leading West Ham out of the murky relegation waters.

Erling Haaland will certainly lead the line on Saturday. Who will flank him is a question only Guardiola can answer. We know Antoine Semenyo has a permanent shirt based on recent performances; Rodri does too.

Nuno Espirito Santo has beaten Manchester City with all his previous clubs in England. Will the Portuguese manager do himself a world of good by doing it again on Saturday? The Citizens cannot afford to slip up here.

Verdict: Manchester City to win.
