Manchester United has the chance to move up to 5th on the Premier League log and only be behind Aston Villa in fourth on goal difference if they beat Everton at Old Trafford on Monday.

Unbeaten in five games, a run that includes three wins and two draws, this is the best of Manchester United under Ruben Amorim, and it can even get better with a win against Everton on Monday.

Everton, on their own part, needs to add more colour to their momentum. The Toffees beat Fulham last time out, a decent result that saw them climb out of the relegation zone, but now they need to do more if they indeed want to be in the top 10.

David Moyes returns once again to Old Trafford, the ground where he struggled badly before being shown the exit door. He has the chance to hurt United's healing process while pushing Everton higher on the table.

Beyond the bragging rights of beating United at Old Trafford for a club like Everton, they will also go above the Red Devils on the log if they're able to pick up a win on Monday; that is a huge incentive to motivate the Toffees.

How do we expect the two sides to line up? The hosts will look to keep things simple, with the same back three and the duo of Casemiro and Bruno Fernandes in midfield. The trio of Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha, and Benjamin Sesko are expected to play up front.

Amad Diallo, Noussir Mazraoui, and Mbeumo will all be heading to the Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco very soon. Ruben Amorim must start preparing for life without the trio, as he won't have them to call on for at least two weeks.

For Everton, Jack Grealish hasn't been involved in any of their goals since the last international break; he needs to step up, as he's a player many thought would change the fortunes of the Toffees.

Ilman Ndiaye has been the leading light; he will once again hope to push Everton to greater heights at Old Trafford. David Moyes needs answers from his forward men; Beto and Barry are both not scoring. He needs answers.

This game means so much to both sides. United can once again firm things up to start another winning run; they have a fan who depends on them for a haircut, will they start a run of five win from here?

Verdict: United to win.
