The snail-paced international break, characterised by the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, has finally come to an end with England joining the contingent to North America. Our focus now shifts to the Premier League, where actions resume this weekend.

As always, we have questions. Arsenal remains on top of the league after their 2-0 win over West Ham. Will they remain on top of the log after their visit to Fulham this weekend? We have questions for Liverpool as well; let’s dive straight into it.

The biggest one for this weekend is at Anfield, home of the champions who have lost each of their last three games. With Manchester United in town, will Liverpool finally return to winning ways, or will they hand Ruben Amorim his first back-to-back league win since becoming the coach of Manchester United?

It’s weird that we’re worried about Liverpool. They were so assured last season that you almost awarded them points before the game; however, they’re tired, and it’s understandable, but who will step up for them in this difficult time?

United isn’t the one under pressure for once, so the Red Devils can manage the game intelligently to earn something. A draw would be a respectable result for Manchester United; however, what version of Man U would step out at Anfield on Sunday?

Back to the log leaders, they know how difficult this fixture will be against Fulham, who lost their last two games albeit from winning positions. Arsenal undoubtedly has the strongest squad in the league; are they strong enough to win it all?

Crystal Palace was finally beaten just before the break; now they host one of the high-fliers this season in Bournemouth. It’s a London derby that could swing either way, a chaotic approach against a pragmatic one. Who will come out on top?

Forest remains winless since hiring Ange Postecoglou, and word on the street is that they might already have started looking for his replacement; however, the visit of Chelsea to the City Ground could be a breaking point or a turning point for the Australian gaffer.

The Blues stepped up brilliantly against Liverpool, and that is the form they’re going into this game with. Is that an indication that they will win this one? Will the Blues go within two points of the leaders after this one, or will they sink farther away from the top?

Finally, Manchester City, will they finally be able to find consistency from here on? Everton is the team they face at the Etihad on Saturday. Can David Moyes find a way to stop the free-scoring Viking up front? These and many more would be answered when the league resumes this weekend.
