It’s safe to say Manchester United has bigger fish to fry, which is the game on Thursday against Athletic Bilbao. That’s the game that defines their season, not this one at the Vitality Stadium.

Manchester United is languishing in 15th spot on the Premier League log; however, they can still make it to the Champions League next season. If the Red Devils win the Europa League, they will automatically land in the Champions League next season. What a story that would be!

Bournemouth fell off badly after their amazing run earlier in the season; however, they can still make it to Europe, as it is looking like the 8th spot would be enough to achieve European football next season; however, they must beat Manchester United to leapfrog Fulham and Brighton.

With only one win in their last five, Bournemouth has lost out in the race for the top five, but who would have predicted they would ruffle some feathers like they have done this season? Andoni Iraola has done a great job with Bournemouth this season; he has to build on it now.

Manchester United and Bournemouth have an identical form; they have both lost two of their last five games, drawn two and won only one. United can indeed see some sunshine in Europe; can Bournemouth fight for a right to play in Europe too?

It will be a huge story for the Cherries to play European football next season; it’s not something they have history with. This will greatly satisfy their fans and crown the efforts of Iraiola. They deserve this hope, but will they go all the way?

Manchester United are not expected to field their best eleven in this game; Bruno Fernandes started a game from the bench for once in two odd years last weekend. Will Ruben Amorim start him against Bournemouth on Sunday?

United need their best legs for the game against Bilbao; expect some academy kids to participate in this game. However, they need to get the momentum going, so a win in this game could help them to stay in a good place ahead of the Thursday game.

Bournemouth will unleash their attacking firepower on Manchester United with Justin Kluivert, Antoine Semenyo and Evanilson all capable of hurting the fragile United defence. Bournemouth has their sights on a European ticket; will United allow them to keep the hope alive?

Verdict: Bournemouth to win
