It’s the FA Cup weekend, and what this means is that we’re looking forward to upsets and banters as teams fight for fifth-round tickets. Away from that, there are loads of actions in other leagues; we take a look at buzzing headlines in the world of football.

Maguire’s redemption story soldiers united on

Former Leicester City man Harry Maguire helped Manchester United past the Foxes on Friday night, albeit from an offside position; however, the absence of VAR meant former Manchester United striker Ruud Van Nistelrooy had to settle for a defeat.

It’s an amazing redemption story for Harry Maguire. He was stripped of the captain’s armband, ridiculed, and demoted to the reserves at some points; Maguire was placed on the transfer market, and today, he is their most important defender. What a story!

Real Madrid opens Vini extension talks.

After reports surfaced that the Saudi market is still eyeing a mega summer move for Brazilian winger Vinicius Jr., the reigning champions have started talks of a contract extension.

Ripples of the last Ballon d’Or miss continue to reverberate across Europe, but Real Madrid won’t take chances with their star boy as they have tabled a three-year extension contract for the Brazilian to sign. The money is good, so we expect a firm handshake soon.

What do we expect from Rashford at Villa?

Unai Emery is on cloud 9 after landing Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford late in the January transfer window, but will the England forward shine for the West Midlands club?

Villa will face Tottenham on Sunday in the FA Cup, and Rashford is expected to make his debut; it’s against a team that is struggling at both ends of the pitch, but with the spotlight on the former Manchester United man, how will that play out?

Ronaldo shines on at 40.

Former Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus star Cristiano Ronaldo continues to wax strong even after clocking 40 as he hit the back of the net in Al Nassr’s win on Friday.

Former Villa man Jhon Duran scored a brace on his debut, but the form of Ronaldo and the story behind the man stole the headlines. Is the little boy from Portugal on his way to scoring an unprecedented 1000 goals in world football?
