The Premier League witnessed another peculiar weekend, as Manchester City struggled with ball control, Forest faced defeat, and Manchester United unexpectedly found joy in the game.

Speaking of the Red Devils, you wonder if it would have been ideal for them to keep Ruud Van Nistelrooy in charge at least until the end of the year before deciding on a substantive manager, given that United won three of the four games he managed and settled for a 1-1 draw against Chelsea.

Newcastle United moved within one point of the top four with their first back-to-back win since September. The Magpies beat Nottingham Forest 3-1, having fallen behind early in the game, but Alexander Isak scored and assisted in a 3-1 away win.

In a peculiar match on Sunday, Tottenham suffered yet another defeat at the hands of the Tractor Boys. Yes, you read correctly. Tottenham lost at home to Ipswich Town, which was the latter's first win on their return to the top flight.

Ange Postecoglou and his team have no excuses; they had their chances and will now find other ways to win trophies this season. The Aussie is adamant that he will win something in his second season, but for the Tractor Boys, their only goal is to look up from here.

In the weekend's major match, Arsenal traveled to Stamford Bridge and came back with just one point, a result Mikel Arteta deemed insufficient after Arsenal's impressive performance. Chelsea managed the game well and equally deserved the point.

Enzo Maresca is yet to record a big win this season after losing to Manchester City and Liverpool; he believes things will fall into place for the Blues, and they will dominate English football for a long time like they have in the past.

I have repeatedly asked, "Do you think we deserve to lose to Liverpool?" No. We will soon emerge victorious in these types of games. Performance is crucial; even if we were to draw tonight despite playing poorly, we would still feel satisfied. But look—Bournemouth away. We didn't deserve to win, and we did. Against Crystal Palace and Forest, we deserved to win, and we didn't. Soon we will win—the performance was good."

He added, "We are very happy. In my opinion, we support clubs such as City and Arsenal, who work under the same manager every day. While we may lag behind them, Chelsea, being one of the world's largest clubs, requires us to compete and strive for victory. We made an effort to compete, and we are confident that we will soon emerge victorious in these types of games.
