Liverpool has a huge chance to go four clear of the chasing park, shower, and then watch how the rest of the lot try to scramble for points. It’s a game Liverpool must win to make life easier for themselves.

Crystal Palace has faced a challenging start to the season, a situation they are accustomed to; however, few anticipated a poor start this season, especially given their impressive performance in the previous season. Do they have what it takes to halt Liverpool’s moving train?

The Kops have settled into the season, winning all but one of their games so far, including both games in Europe, and surging to the top four in the Champions League group stage. Starting early this weekend should be a blessing to Arne Slot’s side.

Olivier Glasner has come out to defend his lads despite picking only three points from a possible eighteen and sitting 18th on the log. We don't expect the owners to show him the exit just yet, but does he have the will to turn things around?

If you’re going to change the narrative, a game against Liverpool is the right one to pick, and if you’re a fan of the Eagles, you’ll hope your team comes to the party while also hoping the Kops have a terrible day; both must happen for Palace to earn a result.

How will they line up? Let’s look at the potential eleven from the home side: Adam Wharton and Daichi Kamada are the men in the middle of the park; they have more to do because of the three at the back approach; the pair must stand their ground against Ryan Gravenberch and Alexis Mac Allister.

Trevor Chalobah is settling into the defence with Marc Guehi and Max Lacroix; the wingbacks must keep watch of the wide men of the visitors; the three men up top should rattle the Liverpool defence; Eddie Nketia, Jean Phillippe Mateta, and Ebere Eze have it all to do; they must step up.

Liverpool’s Mohammed Salah isn’t the same explosive man he used to be, but his maturity has helped the team tick in an unusual manner. He works well with the midfield and focal man; he will be a nightmare for the Eagles on Saturday.

Darwin Nunez scored a beauty when he started against Bournemouth; Diogo Jota was immense against Wolves; you don’t know who Arne Slot would pick; Luiz Diaz is another option up there; they would be too much to handle for Palace.

Verdict: Liverpool to win.
