The football season is well and truly underway, with interesting results across the top leagues. How has the first game week on resumption shaped transfer rumors?

Gundogan is set to return to Manchester City.

With Barcelona struggling to find financial solutions, German international Ilkay Gundogan has expressed his desire to leave the club just a year after joining on a free transfer from Manchester City.

Pep Guardiola spoke to the player and told him he was welcome at the Etihad. Gundogan announced his retirement from international football already, and he has offers from Saudi Arabia, but it looks like he would rather move to the EPL champions instead.

Joao Felix returns to Chelsea on a permanent deal.

You must be tired of seeing Chelsea on the transfer business sheet, but here's some news we've been anticipating for weeks: Joao Felix's story is finally coming to an end as he will join Chelsea for a fee of €60 million!

It’s a permanent transfer that will run for six years, with the Portuguese on his way to England for his medical. Is Chelsea still expected to bring in new players? You won’t put it past them, Victor Osimhen is still available and, outgoings are equally important too.

Gallagher has joined Atletico Madrid.

Chelsea always knew players must go out to balance the books, and one homegrown player who represents full profit for the Blues is Connor Gallagher, who has now gotten the green light to complete his move to Atletico Madrid.

Gallagher joins Diego Simeone’s side for a fee of €42 million, which could well rise to €50 million if Atletico wins the league or the Champions League sometime soon. Gallagher is more like the make-weight in the Joao Felix deal, and he is presently on his way to finalize the deal after undergoing medical treatment two weeks ago.

Manchester United go hard for Ugarte

Manuel Ugarte is in line to be the next player to join Manchester United after Erik Ten Hag has insisted on the Uruguayan for the last few days, with PSG keen to sell him.

The deal will be an initial loan deal with an obligation to buy for around €50 million, and if all goes according to plan, Ugarte should be a Manchester United player before the Red Devils travel to Brighton at the weekend for their next league game.

Sporting to land Vitor Roque?

Vitor Roque, a Barcelona youngster, has seen two important bids land for him, with Sporting Lisbon asking for him for €30 million and Real Betis wanting to loan him with an obligation to buy.

Sporting's intention to sign Roque could stem from an offer for their striker Victor Gyorkeres, or it could be a desire for additional options with promising prospects for the youthful Brazilian. The club and the player will make a decision on Tuesday.
