With more teams out of the ongoing Euro 2024 competition and the Copa America, the transfer window is now heating up with buzzing transfer news. Here are a few hot topics in the transfer window.

Manchester United catches up. Joshua Zirkzee

The INEOS Group has completed the first signing of their reign with an agreement with Bologna for the signing of Dutch international forward Joshua Zirkzee.

Zirkzee's participation in the ongoing Euro tournament has slowed down United's interest in him since the start of the transfer window. United will not trigger the player's release clause, but it will pay close to €40 million.

Como is cooking something special for Varane and Moreno.

Former Liverpool left-back Albert Moreno is on the verge of signing for Italian newcomers Como FC after agreeing on terms on Thursday.

The tiny Italian side is moving bravely into the market after convincing former Real Madrid and Le Blues defender Rafael Varane to join on a free transfer after leaving Manchester United. Cesc Fabregas and Thierry Henry were instrumental in convincing Varane to join the project.

Arsenal gets rid of Lokonga and Tavares

Albert Sambi Lokonga and Nuno Tavares will permanently leave Arsenal after reaching agreements with Sevilla and SS Lazio, respectively.

Nuno Tavares’ deal with Lazio is a loan with an obligation to buy for €9 million. The Portuguese will sign for five years, which kicks in after his loan expires next summer. If Sevilla makes the deal permanent, Arsenal will earn €12 million for Lokonga; it will also include a 25% sell-on clause.

Southgate will remain England's coach regardless of the Euro result.

The English FA has released a statement confirming their unwavering support for Gareth Southgate beyond the current tournament.

Southgate and England are in the 2024 Euros final, making it England's first back-to-back final. Southgate is expected to remain at the helm until the end of the 2026 World Cup, and he’s in line to be knighted should England beat Spain on Sunday.

Klopp decides to skip the USA and take a sabbatical.

Following the United States Men's National Team's dismissal of coach Berhalter, an attempt to recruit former Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has been unsuccessful, as the German manager is currently not interested in taking on any new roles.

Klopp left Liverpool at the end of last season, asking for rest and an opportunity to re-evaluate his next move. The USMNT will now have to look elsewhere after a disappointing showing at the Copa America, where they were bundled out at the group stage.
