Liverpool’s title dream is up in flames; they are completely out of the running as Arsenal and Manchester City both won on Saturday to steer clear of the Reds.

Tottenham is now in danger of missing out on the top four after losing to Chelsea on Thursday—their third loss in a row after losing at Newcastle and at home to Arsenal in the North London Derby. The season is poised to end in disappointment for Ange Postecoglou.

Tottenham’s season started on a high; they led the table after game week 10, with Postecoglou named manager of the month for three consecutive months, but everything unraveled in the chaotic game against Chelsea, where they saw two red cards and lost 4-1.

Liverpool were the favorites to win the Premier League at the end of March; the run-in favored them more than Arsenal, and they were on top of the log, but six weeks later, they’re a distant third, sitting eight points off the top, albeit with a game in hand.

Tottenham could nail Liverpool’s title coffin by getting any kind of result; however, Liverpool can also condemn Tottenham to Europa by winning this game. With Manchester United lurking behind to take advantage, Spurs could still end with absolutely nothing like they did last season.

Germany and Italy have been confirmed to have the fifth spot in the Champions League next season, which means it’s all over for England in that regard. Aston Villa is clear, and with a win at Brighton on Sunday, they could end all conversations around the fourth spot.

Tottenham was tipped to be the kingmaker, but with a fixture against the three front runners for the title, they have lost to Arsenal, they play Liverpool on Sunday, and they will be home to Manchester City in the penultimate game of the season. This new Spurs doesn’t look like that team.

Destiny Udogie and Ben Davies are unavailable; Emerson Royal will return again at left-back; Richarlison is set to return up front too; with Timo Werner out for the rest of the season, it is yet to be seen if Postecoglou will field Yves Bissouma and Rodrigo Bentancur in place of Pierre Emile Hoijberg and Lo Celso.

Liverpool’s Mohammed Salah was seen on the touchline having an altercation with Jurgen Klopp; the latter’s farewell is going badly, and his reigns will only end with a Carabao Cup. From a position of strength as far back as February, when they were discussing quadruples, it is an underwhelming end.

Verdict: Both teams scored.
