The champions are the only team left in the league with a 100% record, and they can easily maintain that momentum at Bramall Lane on Sunday when they travel to Sheffield.

The Cityzens beat Burnley 3-0 on the opening day, and they also maintained the same energy last weekend at home to Newcastle United. The Geordies stretched them at the tail end, but there were no dropped points at the end.

The Blades are struggling on their return already, and not many expected differently. They lost it late last weekend at Forest but could have earned a precious point that would encourage them on the road, but can they expect anything against the best team in Europe?

The last time the Blades played at home, they lost 1-0 to Crystal Palace, and it was a game where they didn’t offer much. They conceded possession roundly and had just one attempt on goal against their visitors from London.

Playing against Manchester City, you know your entire team would be behind the ball, and in this case, it’s honestly not about if they would lose; it’s about how much because the champions take no prisoners at any stage of the season.

Manchester City is reportedly without Manuel Akanji, but there are no injury reports as of yet. Another observation was the absence of Phil Foden on the trip to Sheffield; however, word on the street was that he traveled separately.

Sheffield must defend with everything they have; the back three of Jack Robinson, John Egan, and Anel Ahmedhodzic will have it all to do as the attack will keep coming, but they can hope that Gustavo Hamer will do another long ranger to hit City on the break.

City will cruise through this, and they can give youngsters Cole Palmer and Rico Lewis some game time here. Jack Grealish is expected to feature, as is World Cup winner Julian Alvarez. Ederson is not expected to be troubled here at all.

Verdict: Manchester City to win
