Chelsea are in advanced negotiations with Barcelona for the signing of former Arsenal striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang and the fee is believed to be slightly above £10m plus Spanish left back Marcos Alonso and the deal is expected to be completed ahead of deadline.

Chelsea have struggled in front of goal this season with Kai Havertz yet to find the back of the net in five games; the Blues lost at Southampton on Tuesday night, their second loss of the season in back-to-back away games.

Barcelona want Alonso after the departure of Jordi Alba, Marc Cucurella already came in from Brighton and both parties can do the deal seamlessly. Transfer window slams shut by midnight of Friday, 2^nd September.
