The transfer window is winding down and few players that were touted to move earlier in the window are still stuck in their respective clubs; we look at five players who must be on the move before the window slams shut in a week.

Youri Tielemans – Leicester City

The window is almost closed and Leicester City’s Youri Tielemans still hasn’t swapped clubs. The Belgian has been linked to Arsenal all summer long but the Gunners are stalling on a potential transfer. The reported price tag is £30m and Arsenal think he’s too expensive considering he has only one year left on his Leicester contract. Will Tielemans move?

Wesley Fofana – Leicester City

Still at the King Power Stadium, the Foxes are very clear on the fact that Wesley Fofana wants to leave for Chelsea, the Blues are willing to pay the asking price of £80m but Leicester won’t make it easy for them. The Frenchman was left out of Leicester’s weekend game against Southampton, with just a week left on the transfer clock, will Fofana get his wish?

Pierre Emerick Aubameyang – Barcelona

Former Arsenal captain, Pierre Emerick Aubameyang is obviously surplus to requirement at Barcelona and as it stands, he’s available for transfer but the Catalan side won’t lower their evaluation of a player they got on a free in January. Chelsea will be happy to have Aubameyang as they seek answers to their goalscoring problems but will time be enough to make this happen?

Antony – Ajax

What else does Antony need to do at Ajax for them to let him go? The Brazilian has been under the radar of Manchester United since Erik Ten Hag joined the club but lots of factors, including Ajax’s reluctance to sell have stood in the way of a potential deal. Manchester United are willing to spend as much as £100 on the player… Insane, right?

Cristiano Ronaldo – Manchester United

You can’t close the conversation without a mention of football super star Cristiano Ronaldo. The Portuguese forward has made it clear that he wants to play champions league football which is not available at Old Trafford; ridiculous names have been mentions, including Marseille, Atletico Madrid and Sporting Lisbon, will Ronaldo stay and fight for his place at United or leave for UCL football elsewhere?
