The weekend was spectacular across European Leagues and the world of football in general, from the epic demolition of Manchester United and Everton, to the situation in Russia and Harry’s special record… We look at a few of them.

Is Everton irredeemable?

We’ll talk about Harry Kane’s record later but should we be worried for Frank Lampard and Everton? When the former Chelsea star took over the reigns at Goodison Park, many expected a surge in results but it’s arguably going from bad to worse.

Everton were pummeled by Tottenham on Monday night football and from the looks of things, the relegation fight is well and truly on with Everton just outside the bottom three by one place and one point, is Lampard leading them down to the championship?

Harry Kane surpasses Henry

Harry Kane’s double against the Toffees on Monday night took him past Arsenal and premier league legend, Thierry Henry on the highest goal scorers chart.

Kane scored on either side of the two halves to move to 6th on the log with 176 goals one ahead of Thierry Henry and just one behind Frank Lampard. Alan Shearer remains on top of the tree with 260 goals, that would take some time to surpass.

Does Neymar need help?

“He is talking, but is anyone listening?” – Thierry Henry said on Monday about the mental health of Brazilian wonderkid Neymar following another talks of pressure and uncertainties around the PSG forward’s future.

Neymar had said sometime last year that the 2022 World Cup would be his last amidst pressure and other personal challenges. Thierry Henry is wondering if all is well with the super star or if anyone is trying to show him support.
