The January transfer window is wide open and players are being rumored to be on the move, we bring you the peak of the bunch and we update as things happen.

Juventus eye Loftus-Cheek as Author Melo replacement

Juventus have confirmed that they’re in discussion with Arsenal over a potential loan of former Barcelona midfielder Author Melo and they will consider Chelsea’s Ruben Loftus-Cheek as his replacement.

Arsenal are believed to be at an advanced stage in conversations to bring the Brazilian to Arsenal but Juventus are short in that department after Federico Chiesa got injured and Rodrigo Bentacur struggles for fitness, Bruno Guimareas and Renato Sanches are the other names mentioned in that regard.

Newcastle sign Chris Wood for £25m

We know Newcastle got the money and they can spend it the way they like, we know they’re hanging by the thread and really need to survive, but Chris Wood?

Eddie Howe looked around the whole of Europe and couldn’t find another striker to lead the line in the absence of the injured Callum Wilson and his resolve was Burnley’s Chris Wood? We’ll see how that will help them but that’s strange to say the least.

Aston Villa sign Everton left back Lucas Digne

Look away now Matt Target, there’s a new left back in town! We reported earlier that Rafael Benitez revealed Frenchman Lucas Digne wants to leave, he has now completed a deal for the player and that means Steven Gerrard has a solid defense to build on.

Earlier in the week Villa added former Liverpool man Phillippe Coutinho to their ranks and now they have added Digne, if that is not statement of intent I don’t know what it is.

Spurs could sign Lingard for free in the summer

Westham have not given up hopes of signing Jesse Lingard on loan this window but Tottenham have opened talks with the player’s entourage over a possible free transfer in the summer as he’s in the final months of his Old Trafford contract.

With just six months left on his contract, Lingard can start conversations with potential buyers hence the action from Antonio Conte’s Tottenham as he’s been identified as the man to help their midfield with Dele Alli likely to leave.

Arsenal set to loan out Pablo Mari

Arsenal’s left sided center back Pablo Mari is in communication with Italian side Udinese over a loan move until the end of the season.

Mari has been on the fringes since Arsenal’s second game of the season which was a 2-0 loss to Chelsea, the Spaniard had a torrid time stopping Romelu Lukaku on the day and has since failed to nail starting shirt at Arsenal. Conversations with Udinese is about a dry loan with no option to buy.
