Lionel Messi to wait for PSG debut after Pochettino left him out of squad to face Brest on Friday in the French Ligue 1
Lionel Messi will have to wait to make his highly anticipated Paris St-Germain debut after being excluded from Friday's Ligue 1 match against Brest.
The six-time Ballon d'Or winner joined PSG last week on a free transfer following his departure from Barcelona due to the club's money troubles.
He has not appeared in a match since Argentina won the Copa America, but is currently training with PSG.
Neymar and Sergio Ramos are also absent.
Mauricio Pochettino said Messi had "settled in well" and the squad had a "good atmosphere in the squad"
The former Tottenham manager played down speculation that France forward Kylian Mbappe is set to join Real Madrid this summer.
