Liverpool midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum abandons Barcelona move for PSG after the Paris giants doubled Barcelona offer
Georginio Wijnaldum has decided to join PSG over Barcelona after the French Ligue 1 side doubled the salary Barca offered.
Prior to Thursday evening, it was reported that Georginio Wijnaldum was close to leaving Liverpool for Barcelona on a free transfer this summer.
Frabizio Romana posted on Twitter that it was only the medical that stood between the 30-year-old midfielder and a free transfer move to Nou Camp.
But the reliable Fabrizio Romano earlier today reported that the Netherlands midfielder has changed his mind and he is heading to PSG.
Georginio Wijnaldum has decided to join Paris Saint-Germain. Barcelona have NO intention to raise their bid after they agreement ready by 2 weeks and medicals planned. 🚨🇳🇱— Fabrizio Romano (@FabrizioRomano) June 6, 2021

This is another proof that the Spanish giants have lost their pull and a big blow to their Dutch manager Ronaldo Koeman's plans.
