 Eddie Howe to Celtic…

Former Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe is the leading candidate for the vacant managerial position at Celtic.

Howe left Bournemouth after the relegated to the championship by mutual consent at the end of the pandemic stricken season and has since been jobless but reports from BBC UK says the attack minded Englishman might be the one leading out Celtic as they aim to reclaim their title from Rangers.

Haaland conundrum continues as Mino Raiola tours suitors’ bases.

It was in the news that Mino Raiola was on his way to Barcelona where he was received by an entourage of Juan Laporta, Marca confirmed Alfe Hinge Haaland and the super-agent met with Real Madrid already and will still meet with other big suitors.

Chelsea, United, Liverpool and Manchester City have all shown interest in the Norwegian sensation but no decision would be made until the end of the season and Borussia Dortmund would have the final say on the financial implication.

Iheanacho to extend with Leicester

Form does a lot of good and there’s no better reward for a rich form than substantial recognition which would eventually translate to respect and value; following recent performances for Leicester City, Kelechi Iheanacho would be handed a new five year deal with improved packages.

The Nigerian was voted as the EA Sport player of the season and has helped Nigeria qualify for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations.

Juventus eye Lyon raid

Reigning Italian champions Juventus have set their sights on Lyon stars, Houssem Aouar and Memphis Depay as Andrea Pirlo tries to rebuild for the Old Lady.

Juventus have fallen off the pace in the Serie A and crashed out of the champions league after losing to Porto away and were edged out on away goals; a squad overhaul is imminent and they are now looking in the directions of Lyon who wouldn’t mind considering the financial challenges they currently face.

Aouar was an Arsenal target for the summer and Barcelona were close to signing Depay as well.

Time up for Fernandinho at Manchester City

Sergio Aguero is not the only high profile player to exit Manchester City this summer as talks collapsed between the player’s contingent and the club over new contract.

Fernandinho is a long standing servant whose contract expires this summer and would not be renewed as his demands are impossible for the Etihad landlords to accept considering his age and a need for the club to rebuild.
