Kelechi Iheanaco grabbed a fantastic hat-trick as Leicester City continue their charge for a top-four finish with a resounding Premier League win over Sheffield United, in the Blades’ first match since the sacking of manager Chris Wilder. 

The foxes thrashed the visitors with Kelechi Iheanacho leading the riot. 

Super Eagles forward Kelechi Iheanacho continued his fine goalscoring form for a third consecutive Premier League match as he met Jamie Vardy’s cut-back to open the scoring before halftime.

Ayoze Perez scored in the 64th minute with a fine finish into the bottom corner to beat Aaron Ramsdale who had saved from the Spaniard earlier. 

Iheanacho grabbed his second from another Vardy’s assist five minutes later, before the former Man City forward sealed his treble with a powerful strike from outside the box. 

Leicester moved into second place on the Premier League table, above Manchester United, pending their match against West Ham later on Sunday evening. 

Speaking after the match, an emotional Kelechi Iheanacho said he had waited for this moment and dedicated his goals to all the mothers out there, wishing them a happy mother’s day.
