West Ham United are the form team of the league, the Hammers have won each of their last three but will have a real test as Ole Gunnar Solksjaer’s team head to the London Stadium.

Manchester United had a real scare last weekend as they travelled to St. Mary’s Stadium to negotiate Southampton

Right before their naked black eyes, they were two goals down but a dramatic second half, powered by the substitute, Edison Cavani turned it around in United’s favor.

West Ham rallied in the second half to hand Aston Villa yet another defeat, which was their third win on a bounce.

A vindictive run for a much-maligned David Moyes who is now in talks with the West London outfit about a new improved contract.

It might also interest anyone to realize David Moyes will be entertaining his former team, one he managed into chaos well over 7 years ago.

And he’ll be hoping, once again to tell them a thing or two, not in words but on the field of play.

This fixture was the last game that was played at West Ham’s old Upton Park, after 2,398 games and Wiston Reid’s header, off a Dmitri Payet cross helped the Hammers to an amazing 3-2 victory before moving to their new London Stadium.

Manchester United will definitely come out firing, they were underwhelming in the Champions League at Old Trafford against PSG and now have it all to do in the final group game, they must pick a draw at least in Germany against RB Leipzig or risk stepping down to the Europa League.

West Ham will seek to press the Red Devils but they must do something about their first-half form, they come alive more in the second half but could be well behind if they sleep off on Saturday.

Bruno Fernandes has been the leading light for the visitors this season, in fact since his acquisition in January, on either side of the lockdown, he has contributed the most of any player in the Premier League.

And that counts for something as he’s in the running for the player of the month in the league, although David Moyes is also favorite for the manager of the month.

Recent records favor Westham, the Hammers edge the last five between these two with two wins and two draws with United’s only win in the last five meetings were at Old Trafford in April of 2019.

This would be a cracker especially if both come to party, but Solksjaer will have an eye on the game in Germany as that would be a season defining game with fans sure to go for his head if United drop to the second tier of European football.

Verdict: Over 7.5 corners
