Chelsea eased through to the round of 16 in the UEFA Champions League and will look to bring the form to the premier league where they have everything it takes to finish in the top four and even aim higher.

The Blues beat Newcastle away from home last weekend but they still have lots of work to do, they didn’t have Thiago Silva for the game and still ended without conceding, much to the heroics of Edouard Mendy and the defense.

Tottenham are the form team of the premier league, but what do you make of Jose Mourinho’s return to the Bridge where he made his name in England? Not for the first time but it would be interesting to see how this one pans out.

Jose Mourinho’s team ran out 4-0 winners in Europe on Thursday to join Arsenal and Leicester in the next round of the tournament but it was their win over City last weekend that would be the lead point of argument.

Spurs hosted Manchester City last weekend and clinically dispatched the former champions unscathed, scoring twice without conceding, a result that took them to the summit; you don’t want to see a Jose Mourinho team on top of the league but the dynamics are different this time.

This will be a different ball game for both sides. Chelsea thrive on sleek wing play with Hakim Ziyech pulling strings and driving in while Spurs play from the middle and spread over the top passes with Harry Kane dropping deep to pick out the runs of Heung Min Son.

How will they line up? Spurs will most likely keep the same shape that managed City effectively with Pierre Emile Hoijberg sitting deep to cut runs, Ngolo Kante will be doing the same for Chelsea and depending on who partners him, this would be like for like.

Tanguy Ndombele for Spurs, Matteo Kovacic for Chelsea, the midfield will be interesting to see but upfront, we’re in for a spectacle.

Spurs have the deadliest attack in the premier league with Son and Kane combining to destroy teams so far; Timo Werner can be wasteful but do you want him running at your defense? Tammy Abraham is on a run, ladies and gentlemen… This London Derby can easily be the game of the season.
