Barcelona have agreed to allow forward Luis Suarez to move to La Liga rivals Atletico Madrid.
Suarez is not in Ronald Koeman's plan and the Spanish giants are willing to let him go for free, on condition that he will not join some top clubs.
The former Liverpool forward was on the verge of joining Serie A giants Juventus but passport issues halted the deal.
The 33-year-old has agreed to terms on a reduced salary to join Atletico Madrid.
Barcelona chairman Josep Bartomeu initially blocked the deal because he did not want to sell to a La Liga rival.
But, after he met with Suarez's representatives, Barcelona have made a U-turn, as the striker threatened to lament to the media.
Atletico will only pay about 4m Euros for the Uruguayan star, which will be based on variables.
Suarez will be paid half of the 30m euros yearly he was earning at the Catalan club at Atletico.
The transfer ends Suarez's six-year stint with Barca, where he scored 198 goals in 283 appearances and formed one of the best front three ever with Neymar and Lionel Messi.
He became a Barca player in 2014 joining the club from Liverpool for £74m and won four La Liga titles, four Copa del Reys, and the Champions League as well as the club world cup in 2015.
