Joel Campbell: I'm going back to Arsenal

Arsenal's Joel Campbell is set to return to return to Emirates stadium next season according to

Joel Campbell who spent loan seasons at Real Betis, Lorient and Olympiakos was the star of Costa Rica's shocking 3-1 win over Uruguay.

The Arsenal attacker scored once and created another as the Central American side caused the first upset of the World Cup  in Fortaleza.

"Of course I have to go back because I have a contract with Arsenal," he told reporters after the game on Saturday, "but the most important thing just now is my country and the World Cup."

Edinson Cavani scored the first goal of Saturday's game from the penalty spot but Costa Rica roared back in the second half, with Oscar Duarte and Marcos Urena joining Campbell on the scoresheet.

"Today was excellent for me but it would have come to naught without the contribution of my colleagues," the Arsenal youngster added. "Everyone lived up to their responsibilities. I tried to do my best to score goals and my colleague supported me.

"We have to take one step after another. We have difficult matches ahead but this will give us impetus."
