Real Madrid star Cristiano Ronaldo has called president Florentino Perez in recent days for a transfer update.

Aware that Perez is reviving his plans to sign Monaco whizkid Kylian Mbappe, Ronaldo has sought to intervene and change the president’s thinking.

Diario Gol says Ronaldo isn’t convinced by the teenager and the prospect of him making an instant impact in Madrid.

Instead, Ronaldo has again pushed Perez to move for Juventus ace Paulo Dybala, who he sees as an ideal foil in Real’s attacking formation.

Speaking with Perez, the Portuguese has argued Dybala would not only be a cheaper addition than Mbappe, but a more sure bet given his experience and impressive record in Serie A and Europe.

Ronaldo has also pointed out to Perez that signing the Argentine would be a major blow to Barca, where they’ve been following Dybala’s progress for over two years.
