Gilberto Silva urges Wilshere to fight for Arsenal stay

Former Arsenal captain Gilberto Silva feels Jack Wilshere should stay.

The midfielder spent last season on loan at Bournemouth and is currently sidelined.

It remains to be seen if he has a future at the Emirates but Silva believes the midfielder can force his way back into Arsene Wenger‘s plans.

Gilberto said, “His career has been up and down at the club. He has got talent, that is for sure, but it is up to him.

“If he wants to have a good career at Arsenal, he must concentrate on his job. He has to do things properly for his career and for himself because it is not good for any player when you don’t have a stable career.

“Following him since I left, he had so many games for the club and then started to change a little bit. He left the club, now he is back, and I hope this time he can recover the time has lost in his career.

“He can do things different. He has to concentrate on what he has got to do and recover from injury, because he has suffered quite a lot from injuries.”
