Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger on future: I've not told anybody anything

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger insists winning the FA Cup won’t influence the prospect of him staying.

Wenger insists he will not change his decision if Arsenal, who meet Manchester City in the semi-final on Sunday, go on to lift the trophy.

“The FA Cup doesn’t play any part,” he said on Thursday morning.

“Its an important game for me because it’s our only chance to win a trophy this season.

“We are fully focussed on that. My future is Sunday.”

Wenger played down rumours that he has told new signings that he will remain at the club beyond the end of the season.

“Nothing is concluded with anybody,” he claimed. “I think it’s important we don’t talk about transfers but about the semi-final of the FA Cup.

“I haven’t told anything to anybody. The update is that my commitment is total, and only focused on Arsenal.”
