Man City boss Pep Guardiola says that his summer signing Ederson can help his side play route-one football.
The Brazilian keeper, who arrived in a £34.9m from Benfica, created consistent problems for Tottenham in a friendly with his pinpoint deliveries.
One of Ederson’s long balls was directly responsible for Sergio Aguero‘s goal in the 3-0 win over Spurs.
Pep said: “Ederson has this quality, in the goal kicks when the opposition makes high pressing and it’s complicated.
“Now we have the chance to put the ball in the other box — and of course we have a little bit more space in the middle.
“And he created a good chance for Sergio to score a goal.
