Is Zlatan Ibrahimovic human?
At the start of June, Man United officially announced that they had parted ways with Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Zlatan was sensational for Man United in his one year at Old Trafford.
He scored 17 goals in 27 Premier League games, 28 goals in all competitions, while the Red Devils won the League Cup (he scored a brace in the final) and the Europa League.
Ibra’s campaign was cut short by an ACL injury picked up against Anderlecht in the Europa League. Zlatan has since travelled to America for surgery on his knee, however he appears to be making a remarkable recovery.
Incredible fitness update
According to reports on Sunday, Zlatan believes he’ll be ready to return to action as early as February. Most believed Ibra would be out of action until 2018.
The Star have reported the following:
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is back at Manchester United and vowing to be fit by November.
That creates the intriguing possibility of the Swedish superstar being offered a short-term contract by United.
bra was at one of United’s training grounds last Tuesday – Littleton Road in Salford – with his sons Maximillian and Vincent, who were training there. And he told staff there he hopes to be fit in five months.
It feels unlikely that Zlatan will sign on at Man United next season.
Jose Mourinho seems poised to add Alvaro Morata to his roster with the intent of playing the Spanish forward as his lead striker.
But could Ibra return? Anything is possible.
