Closing in on dream move
Manager Jorge Sampaoli is set to manage the Argentina national team after he confirmed the AFA want him as their next manager.
Following that, the Argentina boss revealed that he feels an obligation to manage them as the country needs help.
The national side are struggling to qualify for the next world cup in Russia and could miss out.
Though, with Sampaoli set to take over at the helm results could quickly turn around.
Lionel Messi’s international ban was also recently rescinded after an appeal to UEFA.
The Argentine had insulted an official following the end of an international clash with Chile.
The nation’s participation in the FIFA World Cup Qualification CONMEBOL Group Stage will begin August 31st of this year.
Sampaoli: “I feel like I have to go. Based on the needs of my country, I have to be there.”

In an interview a few months back, Sampaoli revealed that he would love to manage Lionel Messi in the future.
That lead to intense speculation over the free job at Barcelona.
Now, it seems as though Jorge is set to have his dream come true but maybe in another way than initially expected.
