Wayne Rooney hits out at Man United signings

Wayne Rooney rejoins Everton

Wayne Rooney v Man United

Manchester United fans are angry with Wayne Rooney on Sunday, following the release of fresh quotes from the Everton striker by the Daily Mirror.

Rooney, who is United’s all-time record goalscorer, recently left Old Trafford after thirteen years at the club to head back to his boyhood club.

Many have questioned whether Rooney is still good enough in recent seasons, however the forward showed he still has it with a long range golazo on his Everton debut this summer in Tanzania.

Digs out signings

Rooney is set to piss off many of his former fans with the following remarks:

Over the last few years, it was down to me and Michael Carrick to keep the new players maintaining those standards.

That became more difficult over the last few years, with some of the players who joined the club. There are traditions at United that have to be maintained. It’s become harder, but that’s not my problem any more. I’m just ecstatic to be back at Everton.

Should Rooney really be running his mouth off like this?

In his final few years at Old Trafford, many fans would argue that Rooney was way off the pace, and often a burden to the team.

When was the last time Rooney played well for Man United?
