Wenger and Pulis

Wenger in/out

In a season of lows, the 10-2 aggregate defeat to Bayern in the Champions League was a new low for the Wenger regime – and the weekend defeat to West Brom hasn’t helped matters.

So of course, the Wenger Out Brigade are back out in full force, and the media is focusing in on Arsene’s future, and whether he’ll stay beyond this season.

The Arsenal board have reportedly tabled a new 2-year contract for Wenger, as his current deal runs out at the end of this season.

But he’s yet to put pen to paper, and sent a cryptic message a few weeks ago, insisting that he would definitely be managing next season – ‘whether that’s at Arsenal or somewhere else.’

And he added to the speculation with his quotes at the weekend, saying a decision has already been made regarding his future.

If he does decided to leave, then the Dortmund boss is the favourite to take over.

Wenger told Pulis he’s staying

It’s been reported over the past 24 hours that Wenger is set to stay on as Arsenal boss next year, and West Brom boss Tony Pulis corroborated this in his post-match interview on Saturday:

“I’ll be surprised if he goes.

Asked why, Pulis replied matter of factly: “Because he told me.”
