Is Spanish website reliable?

While many may raise an eyebrow to that question, the website is attracting plenty of attention at the moment as they’ve linked Chelsea with a move for a Bayern Munich midfielder.

The transfer rumour comes off the back of claims over the weekend that Blues boss Antonio Conte is “demoralised, dejected & frustrated” after Chelsea’s pre-season.

According to the Evening Standard’s Simon Johnson, the Italian boss wants to add four new players before the season kicks off on August 11. If that happens, it’s about to get very busy in west London.

On Monday, it’s being claimed Chelsea could pick up Renato Sanches from the Bavarians.

What’s the story?

According to Fichajes, Chelsea have agreed a loan deal with Bayern for Sanches, and that transfer is set to be made official imminently.

Fichajes also note that Portuguese paper A Bola say the Sanches deal to Chelsea is virtually a done deal.

AC Milan were also in the running for Sanches, however the midfielder has opted to join the Premier League champions instead.

Why’s he moving?

Renato Sanches made a name for himself at Benfica, earning a big money move to Bayern Munich before starring for Portugal at Euro 2016.

However the dreadlocked midfielder failed to earn a starting spot in Carlo Ancelotti’s side in 2016/2017 and was reportedly made available for sale by Bayern Munich.

Still just 19, Sanches has a contract at Bayern Munich until 2021.

It’s worth noting that the player’s agent is Jorge Mendes.
