An honour

Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard and Chelsea legend Frank Lampard will be inducted into the National Football Museum Hall of Fame in September.

The pair have recently retired from football and have been sorely missed in the Premier League.

Now, the two will be honoured in the Hall of Fame located in Manchester towards the end of the year.

The players were chosen by legends such as Sir Geoff Hurst, Gordon Banks, Sir Bobby Charlton and Peter Schmeichel.

Former Arsenal goalkeeper Bob Wilson and Ex-West Ham player and manager Billy Bonds will also be inducted.

As will England women’s record goalscorer Kelly Smith and Rachel Yankey will also all go in.

Gerrard to continue in football

Steven Gerrard will continue his football journey next season as he takes on the role of U18’s coach.

Following his retirement, the Englishman quickly returned to his boyhood club and will now play a pivotal role in development.

With a strong youth setup in Liverpool, Gerrard will certainly have a big task on his hands.

This will surely come with the option of moving up the teams with a view to potentially becoming first team coach.

Having rejected a move from MK Dons to be manager previously, there is no doubt what job he has his eyes set on.
