We’re now in the football off-season, and not a lot is happening actual football-wise. Sure there is the Confederations Cup, but the hype arguably isn’t the same for that as it is for a World Cup or European Championships.
It means we have to rely on social media to see what all the footballers are up to whilst they recuperate ahead of next season.
One man doing just that at the moment is Stoke striker and king of banter, Peter Crouch. The 36-year-old has been winding down following the Potters relatively mediocre season in the Premier League in 2016/17… by hanging out with his family.
A normal thing for one to do by the sounds of it, but this is Crouchie we’re talking about. The big man shared with his 258k Twitter followers that he was chilling with said family… but actually uploaded a picture of him feeding two giraffes at a zoo.
Summer for me is about time with family . pic.twitter.com/dtft1CZoyl

The hilarious tweet obviously pokes fun at the fact that Crouch is super tall and gangly, and further strengthens his status as one of football’s top characters.
The tweet has already amassed over 100,000 retweets and 200,000 likes since it was written on Monday morning, which are truly incredible numbers for such a short period of time.
