Premier League giants Manchester City are preparing a huge bid for Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to Sky Sports News.
Aubameyang, a 28-year-old Gabon international, has long been linked with a move to one of Europe’s top clubs, following yet another scintillating season at the Westfalenstadion.
The prolific goalscorer racked up 43 goals in just 49 appearances for the German side, including 31 in the Bundesliga to pip Bayern Munich’s Robert Lewandowski to the league’s top scorer award.
A move for Aubameyang to French giants PSG looked to be a near-certainty in recent weeks, but Unai Emery’s side have seemingly pulled the plug on the deal.
Champions League holders Real Madrid and Premier League side Liverpool have also been linked, but today it is the turn of Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City to have their names tipped as a potential destination for the pacy attacker.
Though no bid amount is mentioned in this evening’s report, it is thought that Dortmund will not even negotiate for any less than 70 million Euro.
