Van Gaal plots revenge

Manchester United should beware of Ajax’s tactical nous – the Dutch side had an inside man after all.

The Mirror claims that Louis van Gaal has been ‘plotting revenge against United’ since being sacked by the club last summer. Now, he’s about to get it by helping Ajax gaffer Peter Bosz prepare for the Europa League final.

Despite winning the FA Cup, Van Gaal was sacked by United with a year left on his contract.

In to replace him came old friend Jose Mourinho, who had been waiting in the wings for months.

Deep discussion

Van Gaal and Bosz were ‘seen deep in a discussion this week at an annual presentation day for Dutch league managers’, leading the Mirror to believe they’re in cahoots ahead of the huge match next Wednesday.

A club legend at Ajax, Van Gaal was the last coach to guide them to a European trophy. His loyalties lie with the Dutch side. Would he give Bosz all of his knowledge on Mourinho’s tactics and United? We don’t see why not.
