The Oluyole Warriors’ forward said they were fortunate to take the maximum points against the Chanji Boys
The Oluyole Warriors ran out 1-0 winners in their Nigerian topflight encounter against the Chanji Boys at the Lekan Salami Stadium.
“I must admit that Katsina United are very tough. They made us play through our noses,” Ibrahim told Goal.
“It was a very difficult game from the start to the end. We had to rely on the expertise of Wasiu to get the only goal of the match. Their goalkeeper, Dami Paul had a very fantastic game and he denied us many scoring chances.
“We are happy to get the important win and with the victory, we are now out of the relegation zone and we are hoping to remain in that position till the end of the season. The draw against Enugu Rangers is beginning to bear good fruit and we are hoping to explore it with more away successes before the end of the season.”
Shooting Stars are now 15th in the league table with 36 points from 29 games and they will tackle Remo Stars on Wednesday in a south-west derby at the Sagamu Stadium.
