Age is a number
Manchester United have been convinced to move for Cristiano Ronaldo – by none other than Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
The forward has convinced the club that age is just a number, and that Ronaldo will be able to perform at the very highest level – despite being 32, an age that would be considered as being past his peak.
Zlatan is of course three years older than Ronaldo, and has shown that not only can he cut it in the Premier League, but that he can even come back from injury quicker than a player half his age, meaning the Manchester Evening News have claimed that the board and Mourinho know a move for Ronaldo is worth it.
Staying in Madrid
However, United may want Ronaldo, but it doesn’t mean they can get him, with the player now making noises that Real Madrid can keep him – if they comply to the rules he wants and splash out a massive £13 million on his tax bill.
Real may want to keep their star man, but paying that kind of cash is a huge statement, and it remains to be seen if they will bow to his demands.
