Home furnishing retail chain Conforama were announced as the official partner of France’s Ligue 1 on Thursday afternoon.
As of the 2017/2018 season, the Ligue 1 is will be renamed ‘Ligue 1 Conforama’ to reflect the chains sponsorship of the French top division.

In a statement, Didier Quillot, Executive Managing Director of Ligue 1 said: “The LFP is very pleased to welcome Conforama as Title Partner. We are very proud of the arrival Conforama in sports sponsorship for a win-win partnership.
The media power of Ligue 1 will allow Conforama to gain visibility at national and international level during broadcasts of games.

This partnership will also improve the visibility of the brand locally, through a comprehensive communication device in stadiums during each day of the championship and in the context of different promotions or public relations.”
French football has grown in popularity over the last couple of years, with teams such as PSG, Monaco and Lyon proving themselves as more than capable to compete in Europe’s top competitions.
