Antonio Conte gets his way…
Incredibly, considering Chelsea won the Premier League in some style last season, Antonio Conte has not been happy in recent days.
Reports emerged in Italy that Conte was not happy with Chelsea’s transfer dealings so far this summer.
Whilst the likes of Manchester United and Manchester City have made big summer moves, Chelsea have not signed anyone… yet.
Alex Sandro & Tiemoue Bakayoko
On Monday, The Guardian have an update on Chelsea’s immediate transfer plans and the Blues are set to make offers for Juventus left back Alex Sandro and Monaco defensive midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko.
Chelsea have been linked with Sandro and Bakayoko for much of the summer already.
In fact, Juventus are believed to have already bid for Sandro, with an offer rejected by the Old Lady. Chelsea’s next offer for Sandro will be 55 million pounds, according to the Guardian.
There is some confusion in the Italian press regarding Sandro today. There are suggestions that the Brazilian left back will push for a move, whilst Tuttosport also reveal he is being offered a new contract with Juventus.
Bakayoko looks likely
On Chelsea’s interest in Monaco defensive midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko, Dom Fifield writes that this move is “likely to come to fruition.”
Chelsea will bid 40 million pounds for Bakayoko.
Fifield adds that if Bakayoko joins, this would not likely see the departure of Nemanja Matic, who has been linked with Manchester United in recent weeks.
Also mentioned by The Guardian is that Chelsea remain interested in Romelu Lukaku, but are baulking at the world record fee requested by Everton.
Cabellero will come in first for Chelsea
Willy Caballero, the former Manchester City goalkeeper, is likely to be Chelsea’s first signing of the summer.
The Argentine will be a direct replacement for Asmir Begovic who joined Bournemouth.
There are also suggestions that once Chelsea make their moves in the summer transfer market, Antonio Conte will sign his new contract.
