According to a report from Italian outlet Tuttosport this evening, Premier League giants Chelsea and Manchester City have both set their sights on a surprise move for a Swansea City man in the coming transfer window.
The player in question is the Swans’ Spanish revelation, Fernando Llorente.
‘El Rey Leon’ has turned back the clock during the current campaign, notching 14 goals in 27 appearances for the Welsh side, with he and fellow key man Gylfi Sigurdsson proving to be the catalyst as Paul Clement’s side narrowly avoided Premier League relegation.
Antonio Conte and Pep Guardiola are said to be huge admirers of the 6ft 4 inch centre-forward, with both managers keen to add a potential plan B to their attacking ranks for next season.
Llorente actually has previous experience of playing under Chelsea boss Conte, with the pair having joined forces to great effect at Juventus during the 2013-14 season.
